Here is where I log some of the things I think that are important that have happened to me throughout the years.
Timeline
2016
- Started a degree in Cognitive Science at UC Berkeley
- Took CS61A at Berkeley
- Decided to pursue computer science as well
- Saw the Eifel Tower
2017
- Started role as student researcher on Berkeley Division of Data Science
- Assisted in designing logistics for Berkeley Data Science Major
- Favorite class: CS70, Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory
- Also took introduction to Buddhism
2018
- Moved to team lead for Berkeley Divsion of Data Science Analytics team
- Assisted in designing logistics for Berkeley Data Science Major
- Favorite class: MCELLBI C61 Brain, Mind, and Behavior with David Presti
- A memorable and excellent professor
- Spent the summer doing research at Carmichael Neurology Lab at UCLA, something I’d wanted to do since high school
- In the next fall I started my first semester of research at Berkeley with Dr. Cooper and Dr. Cai in this lab
- Vision science research
2019
- Favorite class: CS170 Efficient Algorithms and Intractable Problems
- Also the hardest class I’ve ever taken
- Continued research with Cooper Lab
- Summer Internship at Bayer Pharmaceuticals
2020
- Transitioned to new lab, which is technically Bender Lab
- I actually spent most of my time at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) with Roy Ben-Shalom
- We worked on NeuroGPU
- First co-author paper
- With a great view
- Graduated UC Berkeley
- Virtual summer internship at Lawrence Livermore National Lab (LLNL)
- An awesome place to work
2021
- Published my first paper!
- with lots of help from a great team at LLNL
